6H maths set Cookie making
On the 10th of February 2012 6H's maths set made cookies. They were their own choice of flavour, chocolate and shape and they had to do it all by themselves with no help whatsoever from the teachers. The challenge was to use ratio to work out how much of each ingredient was needed. They prepared baked and served them all on their own. The best part about it was tasting. By R.O,L.D,K.P and S.L.

5GB Class assembly
On the 10th of February 2012 class 5GB did their class assembly. It was the second in the trilogy and was all about Chocolate. They showed us where the cocoa can be located and told us the history of chocolate. They took us on an adventure with George Cadbury's assistances and showed us how chocolate is made in factories before they get sold. They sung they danced and they bedazzled us with talent and clear speech. A fantastic production that will be followed on by another one when we come back after the holiday. By R.O,L.D,K.P and S.L.

Language Alive
All of Yr4 had a session called Language Alive with a lady called Cheryl, she was Mr Clarke`s old drama teacher! It was all about a Tudor paper called the Tudor Times, we got the chance to be reporters during the session. We acted out the new recruits and worked for a man called Paperweight. He sent us on a mission to interview Anne Boleyn before she was beheaded. At the tower, we went to the cell but Anne was already dead so we talked to her servant Alice of Chelmsley about her story. She told us the truth about Anne, which she was innocent and should still be alive. We also found out that Paperweight cared more about parties and celebrations with the king than telling the truth. Then we ended our drama.

Forest School
Forest school is an area in the school gardens where we learn how to identify plants and trees. It includes lots of fun activities like making natural thrones! There is also a game called the hunted, where one person is picked to hide and all the others try to catch the person being hunted calling out their names! Mr Crees, ( head of forest school) once showed us what he had done overnight, he had frozen water with leaves in it to turn into a huge slab of ice! SV

Condover Hall
Yr 4 was invited to a residential trip to Condover Hall in Shrewsbury. Every one in the year group was invited to attend but around 12 children never went so at least 90% went. The actual hall was a fifth grade Elizabethan mansion. We did lots of fun, exciting activities like rock climbing, abseiling, low ropes, archery, blind trail, air golf, a fashion show for girls and boys, orienteering, rocket blast, it’s a knock out and a campfire. We ate different foods like lasagne. AP
