Language Alive

All of Yr4 had a session called Language Alive with a lady called Cheryl, she was Mr Clarke`s old drama teacher! It was all about a Tudor paper called the Tudor Times, we got the chance to be reporters during the session. We acted out the new recruits and worked for a man called Paperweight. He sent us on a mission to interview Anne Boleyn before she was beheaded. At the tower, we went to the cell but Anne was already dead so we talked to her servant Alice of Chelmsley about her story. She told us the truth about Anne, which she was innocent and should still be alive. We also found out that Paperweight cared more about parties and celebrations with the king than telling the truth. Then we ended our drama.

Forest School

Forest school is an area in the school gardens where we learn how to identify plants and trees. It includes lots of fun activities like making natural thrones! There is also a game called the hunted, where one person is picked to hide and all the others try to catch the person being hunted calling out their names! Mr Crees, ( head of forest school) once showed us what he had done overnight, he had frozen water with leaves in it to turn into a huge slab of ice! SV

Condover Hall

Yr 4 was invited to a residential trip to Condover Hall in Shrewsbury. Every one in the year group was invited to attend but around 12 children never went so at least 90% went. The actual hall was a fifth grade Elizabethan mansion. We did lots of fun, exciting activities like rock climbing, abseiling, low ropes, archery, blind trail, air golf, a fashion show for girls and boys, orienteering, rocket blast, it’s a knock out and a campfire. We ate different foods like lasagne. AP

Goodbye

It was a very hard and sad day for the class 5m, because on Friday 17th of June their lovely teacher Miss Meekins, left the school to go have her new baby! In the morning Miss Meekins was being loaded with presents for her and baby. Myself and a few others hugged the soon leaving teacher goodbye, as she got ready to leave I thought how she had been loving, caring person I wished for her to come back soon and be our in school as soon as we go back for the new year when I will be in year 6! Assembly

On Friday 1st of April 2011, class 4C performed their class assembly in front of the whole entire school.
It was all about The Ancient Egyptians.
It was a classic comedy drama that I rate about 4 and 1/2 stars.
It was packed full of songs and dances. And bursting with great facts.
They were fully kitted in Ancient Egyptian clothes which could be seen from a long way a way.
And if this was not enough there was even a brave little boy dressed as Cleopatra. He wore a silky pink tunic with a sparkly Navy blue tank top over the top. Boy has he got good taste in clothing.
Some of the dances they did were show class performances. I really enjoyed it and I'm sure they had a good time performing it as it was absolutely amazing.

And by the way Happy April fools day everybody !!!!!
