St Patrick's Day Assembly

On the 23rd of March, class 4J did their excellent class assembly about St Patrick's day that wowed us all. Firstly they told us about the Irish Leprechaun, and that if we saw one never take your eyes off it if you wanted the pot of gold.

This is the Leprechaun that has been captured by St Patrick, he let the Leprechaun free because it told him where the pot of gold was. He marked out where the cactus was and ran for his shovel, but when he came back his mistake hit him in the head. The Leprechaun had marked the other cactuses with the same thing so he couldn't find the pot of gold.

Then they started to dance to the song 'she is the bell of Dublin City' It really made a difference when you saw the energetic side to the children and their performance!

Here is a very talented child, he played an Irish Gig on his Violin. It made every have a smile on their face and cheered everyone up.

Finally they produced an Irish River Dance for the school it was marvellous to see and everyone around them wanted to get up and join in. The dance itself was based on a video which was very complicated, so it gave 4J a chance to dance and to show their strength. It showed the proper Irish dance and people spinning round and most importantly pure happiness.

Well Done 4J! What a great morning we hope you produce the same effort in Yr 5. Keep it up!
